I would like to share my yoga experience as a student to Sudhir who is my teacher. I started doing yoga , not as a hobby but to correct my weak back as I had lower back issue. I still remember walking into my first class with absolutely no knowledge of yoga. The moment I entered , I was welcomed with a warm and welcoming smile by this person , Sudhir D. He was sympathetic towards me , asked me about my background, medical history and altered the asanas to suit me. Since then Im a regular at his class and he has really worked towards my health. He's very approachable and a knowledgeable person. He will help you physically and spiritually. I have to admit this since the day I started taking classes with him , my back issue has gone almost completely and all the credit goes to him. He is the best teacher I ever had. He is my inspiration.

One rarely meets a person as focused and dediacted to one's art , craft and belief as Sudhir Dhrangdharia. I have been a practitioner of yoga for over twenty years and have been a student of many an accomplished teacher.Sudhir, however , is the one who has had the most profound influence on me in terms of the spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga. In his gentle yet firm manner , sudhir has further helped me realise my own potential and stretch myself beyond what I thought were my limits , each time giving me new insights and introducing me to new and different asanas and attitudes , hence giving me a deeper understanding of this journey. I wish him peace of mind and joy in his own journey of self discovery.

Yoga for me is a journey to my Self.It all began with the focus on physical asanas but gradually through the practice I started to notice , awareness has expanded greatly. From observing the breath while holding the posture to observing and experiencing life in the very present moment. So then I realized, its a constant transformation of Self-being that goes far beyond the yoga classroom. I continue discovering great qualities , joy and blessings through yoga practice. I feel myself in the infinite depth to the teachers who across my way and share their knowledge and experience. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart , dear Sudhir for being one of those.

I wish I could spend more time with Sudhir. His teaching is so pure and different than what I get in Europe. He really makes you understand the essence of Yoga. And helps you reset your postures. An inspiring experience.

The classic destination for the health-conscious, The Yoga House has a vibe that emits wellness, positivity and good vibes only. Situated in Bandra, this is a yoga studio run in conjunction with a health food café. Their concept is to respect and imbibe the oldest of our country’s inheritance – Yoga. Goodness begins with their Detox (ginger and lime), Immunity (wheatgrass) or Energy (amla and ginger) shots, followed by 'Brown Rice Paella', 'Quinoa Taboule' or 'Signature Tofu Brown Rice'. The Yoga House manages to combine the concepts of Ayurveda and veganism, encouraging you all the while to recline into a Yogic lifestyle.

Just love this place. It's tailor made for people like me. Love going for sudhirs, snehas and aparajitas class. they are more than willing to look after individual problems and tailor asanas accordingly. One must visit this place if not for a yoga class then for its cafe.

Have seen the Yoga house in Bandra. Loved the placed. Super excited about it opening in South Mumbai. However you need to have an early morning class at 6.00 am also. Pretty please! :)

Yoga House was recommended to me by my previous yoga teacher, whom I respect immensely. I could not fit her class timings in my schedule anymore so I joined yoga house a few months back to keep up my practice.
Classes here are of an optimum size (although in yoga, there is really no optimum sized class); about 8 to 10 people usually, which I find comfortable. I mainly practiced Hatha and found Sneha’s lessons both challenging and invigorating. I also came into class with a critical cervical problem; teachers at yoga house are more than willing to look after such problems and tailor asanas accordingly so no one should hold back from learning or practicing. Also, there are several options given for beginners and intermediate students because a posture I might be comfortable in is likely to be quite discomforting for a beginner and there are steps to attaining the posture completely. Listening to your own body and pushing your own capabilities is something that all teachers emphasize upon, which is a teaching in itself. Yoga house also allows you to experiment a bit within yoga; so for a few weeks, you can try Iyenger or Vinyasa flow if you like and take different classes. For a couple of weeks, I learnt the basics of Vinyasa from Maud after years of Hatha. It allows walk-in’s so it is great for someone who just wants to try a class. It is also a great place to enroll for a few months and go through the different routines of Iyenger, Vinyasa and Hatha. Yoga house is also a café so its juices and teas and soups are readily available post class.
And I think a few classes should be added for advanced students. Students in a class are largely beginners here and few intermediate level (like myself), if a class is added for advanced students, it might help the practice of intermediate students (to take the practice to the next level).

Yoga house for me was first synonymous with their famous masala chai but now the place is a haven, a place to relax with my chai and maybe a quinoa pesto salad and hash brown if i'm hungry and bask in the amazing peaceful energy that abounds the place. For a typical urban youngster restlessness is such a part of one's life, The yoga house is such a pleasant surprise. A place where one automatically feels relaxed and at peace. A home away from home in a city which is otherwise just running mindlessly at a speed that causes stress along with the sense of competitiveness. The staff quickly become like friends and it is one of the few places in this city where strangers walk in and smile at each other. A beautiful experience for everyone according to me who visits mumbai or lives here.

I had practised yoga for a few years in London before I relocated for 6 months to Mumbai. I was blessed to find The Yoga House which completely changed my practice and experience of yoga. The Yoga House quickly became my second home in the city and the teachers friends. In effect it felt like I was truly practicing for the first time and what I learnt and how I grew in my practice both practically and spiritually in the 6 months I was there far surpassed the years of learning that had gone before. For me it was a beautiful experience. Needless to say back here in London I miss The Yoga House and my teachers there dearly and think of them often. I look forward to returning once again one day soon and also to the day when The Yoga House arrives in London. Thank you so much.

My last year with The Yoga House has been phenomenal. I’ve had a wonderful experience practicing yoga and also discussing it with the teachers here. The place has a calming effect on me that has enriched me spiritually. The teachers are very knowledgable and affable and believe in teaching yoga in a correct manner without any shortcuts. A life changing journey for me.

I spent a quarter last year at the Yoga House and it was an amazing experience. It really got me into yoga and I wanted to continue when I relocated to London. However, the experience has not been the same because the classes in London and much bigger and there is less individual attention and one can’t reallt clear ones doubts after the class. Anyway, really miss the Yoga House and hope you expand internationally soon!

I started attending classes at the Yoga House about 8 months ago when I had a stressful situation in my life. I’m glad I did because it helped me during that time - to meditate, focus and feel better. I’m continuing to attend as it helps improve my flexibility and it greatly compliments my gym workouts. I also like to try out different instructors and styles and the timings are convenient for me.

The Yoga House is a unique place, definitely one of my favourites in bandra. Great concept! Courtious and welcoming staff, approachable owners and food that is truly healthy. Whenever I feel a little low, a little spaced out, I come for a yoga class and am left feeling refreshed, happy and can focus again. To practice is like a way of prayer for me. Thanks!
